Love to see old timers coming back!
-
Sounds like lotsa work is being done, good job!

Branzone knows t2 servers.
-
When you try it you will understand. It removes some of the smoothing frames from the game, and shows a more accurate depiction of true gamestate.

It'd be nice to have the ta folks add t1 and t2 as optional installs so players could experience the game as it has moved.
-
Did you look at the faq?

Hi In your router you will find menus that will allow for forwarding of ports and protocols. Ports might be considered doorways or ports, like the 2 meter square exhaust port on the Deathstar, really not much bigger than a womp rat back home, while protocols can be considered languages, but your protocol droid is built…

mutefags.cs //great script

TA has run fine for me, meaning no crashes or other oddities, and it looks great but I am always trying to click next weapon to get disk, laser, and gl just like in t1 and t2. But in TA I only get a projectile sniper rifle and a "pistol" that is the TA equivalent to an annoyance weapon. So basically I'm defenseless if…

Place them in the gamedata folder.

Forwarded game ports in any intervening firewall or router?
-
Hi there. Copy this and paste it into a new tesxt file, rename it as framskippa.cs, and copy it to your gamedata/base/scripts/autoexec folder. Run t2 and go into the scripts menu, find frameskippa and set it to 2 and see if that gives you any help. You have to have support.vl2 in the gamedata/base folder to run most…

No new pms, wassup?
-
Donler please check your pm box here.

First off, 1g ram is really not enough to run vista well. Also, consider this: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php/topic,2732.0.html
-
I get around all of this bs by running t2 on xp.
-
Thanks, will check them out.
-
If you host one in the same instance as you play in you're an admin automatically. If it's someone else's server you'd have to ask them to make you one.
-
Yeah Laggys work is great. Also google Belial's bots and give them a try.
-
I think there's a script that allows you to do this without all the runaround. Can't remember its name however.
-
Well certainly better than it was. Is there no way to run a t2 dedicated sans wine?
-
Think textures go in the base/textures folder unless they're a vl2 wich would go in the base folder, and the server patch does its own thing as an exe, you need not interfere with it.
-
As Thyth said, a t2 server in a win32 environment really only hits the cpu at map changes, due to disk access and the net activity frenzy. I am quite interested in what's eating your cpu up.
-
Thanks Thyth.
-
Thyth, it's about time you made this game easier for folks with this problem to get resolution. Anyone needing a account, pm me your email addy, and a first and second choice in user names.
-
T2 is a bit more involved than jango. But yes t2/tn could still use some publicity.
-
Hmm. What version of support.vl2 are you using? There should be a date in the readme for support. This sounds like a support issue rather than a kerb issue considering how mutefags isn't working either. You might try another version of support.
-
Before I get accused of cheating .... again. If you turn off the ingame sound and don't have a media player playing or other noise source while you play t2 you can easily hear someone approaching from behind pretty much no matter where you are ..... unless other game sounds are louder. So next time you try to sneak up on…

It's odd. T2 is slowly dropping in player count with only about two servers getting human traffic. T1 is also dying, but it has more active servers with human traffic, just less players in each server.
